THE PARANÁ DELTA The Paraná Delta is formed by woodland, scrubs and lagoons in the midst of an intricate network of rivers, brooks and streams. Its singular weather conditions enable subtropical species and formations to thrive, along with the contributions from the large biological corridors defined by the Paraná and Uruguay rivers, whose sediments cause the Delta's continual increase. It is currently one of the great wild sanctuaries still flourishing in Argentina.
ESPINAL
The espinal or thornbush country consists of an extensive strip of forests that are mainly populated by woody plant species with thorns or prickles, some of which include the carob tree, the calden tree, the ñandubay and acacia trees.
