YOUR DAILY ITINERARY

Day 1. En route to the charming wine capital of Argentina: Mendoza.

Arrival at Mendoza Airport and transfers to hotel. Lodging.

Day 2. Wineries at Valle de Uco.

Breakfast at the hotel.
Visit to Pulenta Estates Winery. The Pulenta family has been involved in Argentine viticulture for three generations. Sons of the well-known wine-grower Antonio Pulenta, Eduardo and Hugo created this winery in 2002. The estate is located in the prestigious Alto Agrelo. The vineyards are located 3200 feet above sea level where the wide range between day and evening temperatures leads to a long, healthy growing season. The vineyards, now well-matured, were planted by their father Antonio.
Visit and lunch at Salentein Winery. Established in the late 1990s, Salentein is a privately-owned estate of almost 5,000 acres, of which 1,124 acres are planted to wine. The property includes a world-class winery and cellars, a 125-acre nature preserve, the showpiece Killka Center for Culture and the Arts, a nearby lodge (the Posada Salentein, offering an elegant and relaxed retreat into nature), and the landmark Chapel of Gratitude, built using ancient local stonework techniques.
Visit to Andeluna Winery. The winery building itself covers an impressive 48,000 square feet. It has a one million liter tank capacity, a 1,200 barrel aging capacity, and a 720,000 bottle storage capacity. Set among the foothills of the Andes, Andeluna Cellars is a remarkably beautiful place to behold. Visitors enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding areas.
Return to hotel. Lodging.

Day 3. Wineries at Luján de Cuyo.

Breakfast at the hotel.
Visit to Catena Zapata. The winery is a beautiful stone structure resembling the Mayan pyramids. The winery is both stunning inside and out, facing directly west to the Andes. It has a most beautiful circular barrel room. The winery had its origin in 1902 but it was not until 1983 that second-generation Nicolas Catena brought a new era to the Catena winery and all of Argentine wines.
Visit and lunch at Ruca Malen Winery. Ruca Malen is a boutique winery at the foot of the Andes near Mendoza. It produces premium wines, mainly Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon, from 27 hectares of vineyards. Quality, style and elegance are what owners Jean Pierre Thibaud and Jacques Montalembert have been aiming for since they started in 1998.
Visit to Achaval Ferrer Winery. Achaval-Ferrer is a small winery. They are committed to the production of limited quantities of the best red wines.
Return to hotel. Lodging.

Day 4. Wine & Delicatessen at Maipú.

Breakfast at the hotel.
Visit to Tempus Alba Winery. It combines technology with family-run pride, resulting in some delicious and affordable wines. One of the winery's main goals is to make the best Malbec in Argentina, a lofty goal where Malbec is one of the most popular varietals in Argentina. In search of the best Malbec grapes, the winery is testing and researching 370 vines to find ones that will produce a superior Malbec.
Lunch at Almacen del Sur. An elegant and warm ambiance allows the visitor to fully enjoy the quality of an open kitchen and outstanding views while a special gastronomic experience takes place with Almacen del Sur delicatessen. The combination of flavours and aromatic spices entice visitors to open their senses.
Visit to Bodega Benegas. This old winery belonged to the family of Gladys Alurralde Norton, who was the mother of Federico J. Benegas Lynch. The vineyard Finca Libertad is part of the 249 has which corresponds to the superior "lecho"river bed of Mendoza.
Return to Hotel. Lodging.

(*) Other option for Day 4. Wine & Cooking Class.
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to Bodega Benegas, a winery which has played a fundamental role in the introduction of European grapes to Argentina. It is one of Mendoza's most historic wineries, in which Federico Benegas Lynch continues the tradition that his great grand father started more than 120 years ago.
Cooking class at "La Encantada". This class is designed to offer food lovers a unique gastronomic experience exploring Argentine cuisine, sampling local ingredients and learning recipe secrets, with emphasis in food preparation and wine paring. Whether you are a kitchen novice or an experienced cook, you will find the cooking class at "La Encantada" in Mendoza to be fun and very useful in your every day life.
Return to hotel. Lodging.
Day 5. Depart Mendoza for your next destination.
