
São Miguel das Missões in Brazil, and San Ignacio Miní, Santa Ana, and Loreto in Argentina, lie at the heart of the tropical rain forest.
They are the impressive remains of five Jesuit missions, built in the land of the Guaranis during the 17th and 18th centuries. Each is characterized by a specific layout and a different state of conservation.>
The Jesuit Mission of San Ignacio Mini was established in 1632, after many temporary settlements. It was built following the original plans that the Jesus Company, had designed to construct the Jesuit missions all over the world.
There lived around 3300 people. Designed by Jesuit Priests, but built by Guarani hands almost 400 years ago, were declared CULTURAL WORLD HERITAGE by UNESCO in 1994.
San Ignacio Mini is the best conserved ruins in the area of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay.
The admission ticket includes a visit guided, moon walking, and the admission to SANTA ANA and LORETO ruins, distant to 10 and 20 Km from San Ignacio.
