This area involves the southern-most confines of South America. The mountain range area features the continental Patagonian ice, with one of the main attractions being the Perito Moreno glacier, declared a Natural World Heritage site by UNESCO.
Its sea territory is unique for being the only National Park on Argentina's continental coast with fauna, paleontological and archaeological reserves.
At the southern tip lies the Tierra del Fuego archipelago, whose capital, Ushuaia, is the southernmost city in the world and one of the mandatory ports when heading to Antarctica. The natural resources of its seas, channels, fiords, forests and steppes remain practically in their pure state.
