Fly Fishing tour in Los Molles Valley, Las Animas Basin, Las Leñas Valley, Hermoso Valley, Río Grande and at a private property at Malargüe.

Day 1

Reception at airport and transfer to hotel in Los Molles Valley. Along the route the tourists traverse the Uco Valley to arrive to San Rafael, following the Atuel River. Lunch in the Atuel Canyon, continuing the journey to Nihuil Dam. Check in at Hotel Lahuen-Co with hot springs in Los Molles Valley. Outing to the Las Animas Basin, La Niña Lagoon or to test the fishing gear in the river in front of the hotel. (Brown trouts are the most common). Afternoon city tour.

Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel. Travel for approximately 1:30 hours to Hermoso (Beautiful) Valley. Fishing in the Grande River, following the river from its source to the end of the valley. Lunch on the river shore. Fishing in the afternoon and stop by a small lagoon where Fontinalis Trouts can be fished using dry flies. Return to the hotel at nightfall. Hot springs open until 8:00 pm.

Day 3

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Hermoso (Beautiful) Valley, fishing in the river. Trekking along the Tordillo River gorge for about 1 hour to fish until noon. Lunch. In the afternoon fish a nearby lagoon where large Central Andes Fontinalis trouts can be found. Return to the hotel. Hot springs open until 8:00 pm.

Day 4

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Malargüe. Lodging. The trip continues to the Cari-Lauquén wetlands; in private property, fly fishing of Perchs. Lunch. In the afternoon, fshing at crystal water pools where this species can be found. Return to hotel at nightfall.

Day 5

Breakfast at the hotel. Excursion to Malargüe River. Fishing until midday. Lunch. Afternoon tour through the Llancanelo area. Return to hotel in Mendoza.

Day 6

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport.

Fishing season: From January 1 through April 15.

Each itinerary is custom designed. An extension to any other of our fishing destinations in Argentina can be incorporated as well. Clients often visit about 2 weeks with 12 angling days, but any length of stay can be easily arranged. We invite you to contact us with more specific questions or to book a trip.
